Purpose of the Fund:
The Corlacky Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund was established in 2026 by the ERG Group.
The fund’s aim is to provide financial support towards the development of locally beneficial community-based projects and initiatives within a 7km radius of Corlacky Wind Farm.
Applications are invited from charities and community organisations based within a 7km radius of the Corlacky Wind Farm site.
Applicants can apply for financial support for any one or more of the following purposes:

We will not fund:
The Community Foundation will not fund organisations or activities which promote causes that are contrary to our purposes. Causes and activities that are contrary to our purposes include, but may not be limited to, those outlined in our investment policy. We will not therefore fund organisations or activities which we determine are linked to the promotion of armaments, alcohol, human rights abuses, tobacco or pornography.

Applications for capital build projects will only be considered if full Planning Permission has already been approved, and match funding is in place.
The Corlacky Community Benefit Fund is available for local community projects within a 7 km radius of the wind farm. Applicant organisations must be located in this area, (*straight-line measurement) from the windfarm site entrance, (Co-ordinates: 54.90801104858882, -6.716370854362502)

The Fund welcomes applications from community and voluntary groups that address the following areas: Education programmes for the next generation on the topics of Sustainability and Renewable Energy, Collaborative projects, Projects that aim to improve the health of residents, particularly mental health, Projects that promote care & support of vulnerable people, particularly relating to the cost of living/fuel poverty
