Proud and Include Youth trail transitions service in online app

In Northern Ireland individuals who have been looking for a job for over 18 months are 3 times more likely to experience a mental health issue. Include Youth currently works with Proud to offer a ‘Transitions’ service, supporting young adults who have been in care and are developing self-sufficiency and finding employment to transition to independence.

Include Youth and Proud approached Techies in Residence to move this transition service to a technological platform ensuring access to information whenever and wherever people need it. They believe by addressing this inequality and offering a platform for young adults who have faced adversity, will provide a support network resulting in feelings of belonging and having a tangible way to sustain their self-sufficiency, therefore, resulting in positive long term well-being.
