Our Vision:
To empower and sustain an active, engaged and organised language community
Project Aims
To re-engage active language communities in understanding, designing and accessing language rights promised in the New Decade New Approach agreement
By delivering this project we hope to achieve the following outcomes:
- Communities and language users have an increased awareness of language rights and legislation; and have a broader understanding of their own individual and collective expectations
- Increase in digital capacity to learn and organise on regional and local campaigns for Irish language community
- Communities have increased participation in co-design processes and further ownership over policy formation; ensuring more effective and tangible standards and strategy impact
- VCSE organisations and community stakeholders have increased understanding of current provision, need and solutions to long-term language exclusion
- Communities and stakeholders empowered to effective ongoing change through the establishment of civic implementation and monitoring committees / fora for each of the new offices and the new strategies
