The IFA Inclusive Clubs Funding Programme – Impairment Specific Disability Clubs Funding Programme


Introduction:

The IFA through the Community Foundation are delighted to open a new Inclusive Clubs Programme.  The Inclusive Clubs Programme is aimed at supporting football clubs, registered with the IFA, who are developing a disability or women’s section, and who wish to encourage participation from everyone in society, particularly those most marginalised, and including the BME community, as well as those with a disability.

Eligibility:

Who can apply?

Applications are invited from eligible Clubs – standalone disability clubs catering for any impairment specific disability (i.e. wheelchair, deaf, autism, downs syndrome, visual impairment etc).   The clubs must be registered with the IFA.  The fund is not open to general community organisations who are not registered with the IFA.

Size of Grant:

Grants available: Up to £2,500

What can be supported?

Up to £2,500 per club is available for support of costs associated with participation and competition programmes.

Notes:

  • A proposed season schedule must be submitted before funding.
  • A season report must be completed on completion of the funding period.
  • We will reward clubs who can demonstrate clear policy against racism and sectarianism and links with BME participation. This should be clear and detailed within the Equality Policy and added as a supporting document to the online application.

There are some general things that our grant aid cannot be used for:

The Community Foundation will not fund organisations or activities which promote causes that are contrary to our purposes. Causes and activities that are contrary to our purposes include, but may not be limited to, those outlined in our investment policy. We will not therefore fund organisations or activities which we determine are linked to the promotion of armaments, alcohol, human rights abuses, tobacco or pornography.

In addition the fund will not support:

  • Applications from Individuals
  • Salary Costs
  • Trips outside Northern Ireland, holidays away, and one-off residentials
  • Funding for projects that have already started
  • Promotion of religion or party political activity

Closing dates and awarding of grants:

The fund will be open for applications from 9:00am on 24th September 2019 and will close at 1:00pm on 11th November 2019.

  • You are a locally based not-for-profit, voluntary or community club working in Northern Ireland registered with the IFA
  • You have an active management committee
  • You have a current in credit bank account in the name of your organisation
  • You have up to date annual accounts
  • You have complied with the conditions of previous grants including submission of monitoring returns.
